  • What are the guidelines for WhatsApp message template approval?

    Templates must be approved before they can be sent in template messages to your customers. Once your message template is approved, its status will be set to 'Active - Quality pending', and you can begin sending it to customers. If it is rejected, you can edit it and resubmit for approval, or appeal the decision. 


    We strongly recommend you create a template as per the categorization. You can review the most common rejection reasons here. Review the WhatsApp business messaging policy and follow it strictly.

    Plivo does not support template creation from Console right now. For creating templates, we can encourage our customers to do it directly from the Meta's WhatsApp manager as described here.
