What is SMS Pumping?
SMS pumping is a form of fraud where attackers exploit SMS services by flooding websites or APIs with fake OTP (One-Time Password) requests. Using bots and premium-rate phone numbers, these fraudsters generate large volumes of artificial SMS traffic, causing businesses to face soaring messaging costs while the attackers profit from inflated charges.
