1. What are monthly recharge limits?
Monthly recharge limits allow you to set a maximum amount that can be billed to your account each month. This feature helps protect your account from fraudulent activity, such as SMS pumping or credential leaks, while also giving you better visibility and control over your spending.
2. How is the monthly limit determined?
Plivo automatically calculates a recommended monthly limit based on your typical account usage. This value is pre-filled for you in the "Configure Monthly Recharge Limits" section of your Console. If you don't make any changes, this recommended value will be applied automatically.
3. Can I change my monthly limit?
Yes, you can adjust your recharge limit at any time directly from the Plivo Console. Some accounts may have an upper cap on the maximum limit that can be set. If you wish to set a limit beyond this maximum value, please contact our support team for assistance.
4. How will I be notified about my usage?
You will receive an email notification when your account usage reaches 50% and 90% of your monthly limit. This helps you monitor your spending and avoid failed recharges.
5. What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
Once the monthly limit is reached, all further recharge attempts—both manual and automatic—will be blocked.
To make a payment, you will need to adjust your recharge limit from console.
The limit resets at the beginning of each month.
7. How do I set or update my monthly limit?
- Navigate to Payment Settings → Configure Auto Recharge Limits on Plivo console
- Select Monthly Limit and enter the desired value you want to set for your account.
- Daily and Weekly limits will be deprecated from 28th Oct 2025
- The recharge limits will also be applied on manual recharges and not just auto-debit-recharges from 28th Oct 2025
- Save your changes.
