Auth ID, Auth Token and How to change them
Plivo uses two credentials to determine from which account an API request is triggered from: The AUTH ID acts as a username, and the AUTH Token acts as a password.
If another user gets access to your AUTH ID and AUTH Token, and he or she will be able to use the Plivo API just as you would. That means they can make calls or send messages coming from your phone numbers. Keep your Auth ID and Auth Token private at all times.
Where can I find my Auth ID and Auth Token?
You can find your Auth ID and Auth Token, on your Plivo-Dashboard
How do I change my Auth Token?
The Auth ID of your Plivo account cannot be changed.
However, the Auth Token can be changed by clicking here and choosing either of the two options listed
The new Auth Token generated will now be used as a password to authenticate before triggering an API.
In case you feel that your Plivo account has been compromised and you see charges that are not as per your usage, kindly change the Auth Token immediately along with the Password of your Plivo account.
