Yes, you can make outbound calls without purchasing a Plivo number by using Verified Caller ID.
How Verified Caller ID works:

- Register your number through the Plivo Console or using Plivo’s REST APIs or SDKs.
- Receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS or voice for verification.
- Enter the OTP to complete the verification process.
- Once verified, your number will be added to the Verified Caller ID list.
- Use the verified number as the outbound caller ID without renting a Plivo number.
Calls using a non-Plivo number without Verification will fail with an "Unknown caller ID" error.
