Plivo’s Verified Caller ID feature allows you to use your own number as the outbound caller ID once it’s verified.
To get started, register the number you want to use for outbound calls with Verified Caller ID. Plivo will send a one-time password (OTP) to the number via SMS or voice. Once verified, your number will be added to the Verified Caller ID list and can be used to make outbound calls.
You can verify your number through the Plivo console or using Plivo’s REST APIs or SDKs.
Attempting to use a non-Plivo number will cause your calls to fail with a "Unknown caller ID" error message.
To get a Plivo number, rent one through the Plivo console or use our Buy a Phone Number API. Alternatively, you can port your existing numbers to Plivo for seamless connectivity.
