How can I screen inbound calls and prevent unwanted calls?

Screen inbound calls by adding a phone number to a blacklist using Plivo’s PHLO functionality. PHLO can be used to set up automated workflows that reject calls from blacklisted numbers and handle calls in a customized way.

Here’s how Plivo’s PHLO works.

  • Create a PHLO Application: Configure a PHLO to screen inbound calls. When a call is received, Plivo will check the phone number against your blacklist and, based on the result, either reject the call or allow it to proceed.
  • Assign PHLO to a number: You can assign your PHLO to a Plivo number to begin screening calls.
